Licensing
One key. Yours forever.
A license key should prove you paid — not make you keep paying. Every DMFX key is signed once, checked where you use it, and never expires. Nothing phones home. If we vanished tomorrow, everything you bought would keep working.
Perpetual
Pay once. The key never expires, never re-verifies, never asks again. Skip every update for five years — nothing breaks.
Offline
The key is a signed file, checked right where you use it — in the plugin, or in your visitor’s browser tab. There is no license server to reach, so there is nothing to go down.
Humane
Dev machines, localhost and staging are free, always. Lose your key? Email us with the receipt and get it back. If a key is ever missing on a live site, the engine keeps rendering — we will never break your production over paperwork.
How it works
1
Buy it
Your key arrives with the receipt. No account to create.
2
Paste it once
In the plugin panel for After Effects, or one meta tag for the web engine.
3
Forget it
Verified locally against a public key, in about a millisecond. That’s the whole ceremony.
Two products, one policy
After Effects plugins
One key per artist covers every machine you own. Paste it in the plugin panel once and never think about it again — renders, render farms and offline workstations all work, because nothing ever calls out.

Every beam, glow and haze on this site renders live in a WebGL engine — and that engine is licensable for your own site. One key per domain, shipped as a meta tag, verified in each visitor’s browser against a public key. Dev and staging hosts are free, always.
Early access — pricing lands with the first release.

Validate a key right here. This tab, no network.
This is the exact check the engine runs — a signature verification in your browser. It’s prefilled with this site’s own key. Open devtools first if you like: the network panel stays silent while it validates.
Questions
- What happens if you disappear?
- Everything keeps working. The check is a signature verification that ships inside the product — there is no server on our end to shut down. Your key is valid on the heat-death of the universe.
- Do you track usage?
- We can’t. The key check never makes a network call, so there is nothing to receive. The validator below runs in this tab — open devtools and watch the network stay silent.
- Can I use my key on staging and localhost?
- You don’t even need it there. localhost, LAN addresses, *.local, *.test and tailnet hosts are free by policy, no key present at all.
- What does an unlicensed site look like?
- The effects render normally with a small corner tag naming the engine. No blocked pixels, no broken page. Protection is the license terms plus a visible nudge — not sabotage of your work.
- Why license the web engine at all?
- The engine’s source reaches every visitor’s browser — that’s how the demos on this site work. The key is how shipping it on your site becomes fair to both of us: you get the engine, we get to keep building it.
